WTF Political Cartoons

3 notes

"Kicking a can down the road" is one of the more overused visual metaphors for a while in American OCnservative Comics. I unfortunately couldn’t find the category on cagle.com, but they had a list of some that were published around the Debt Ceiling debate last year.
Needless to say, the issue of the debt ceiling only became a point of debate after the congress was flooded by fresh blood, unexperienced Republicans who decided to question all and every facet of government function, because they couldn’t personally understand it, and because the only text of law they care about is (their interpretation) of the consitution, practical reality be damned.
This comic doesn’t say anything new, and doesn’t offer any solutions or alternatives. And is lazily drawn, which is the biggest sin.
