I’ve been ragging on this comic many times, but again, do tellme of this war where some, ANY foreign power has actually in any way threatened the freedoms of Americans. Go ahead, I’ll wait.
Was it the Vietnamese? Was carpet bombing the jungle with napalm and chemical weapons, interning inocent farmers, and spreading the war to neighbouring countries absolutely necessary for the lierties of Americans? Was it Panama, where America bombed the slums with stealth bombers? Or Guatemala, or Nicaragua, or Grenada? Was the threat in the power, water and sevage plants in Iraq when the US bombed them in 1991, because as we know the greatest threat to US democracy is the living standards of the Iraqi people.
After 9/11, the greatest threat to the freedoms of US citizens has been the US government itself. Spying and detaining people, banning protests or pushing them to the margins, censoring media, and using the grassroots goons like you to silence opposition with jingoistic flagwaving and branding dissent as treason.
