I’ve been on record several times to call Chuck Asay one of the worst hacks in the business. He simply has no idea how people function. He presents his own extremist views as the most wholesome and down to earth there are. Little surprise, the people in his comics also have haircuts and clothes decades from the past.

I notice that the stoner and gay couple appear to be middle aged, while the comic is set on a college campus. Maybe Chuck can’t get over the 70’s stereotypes of gay people. Also, yeah, he seems to assume that a same sex couple walking hand in hand in public is a bad thing, that the majority, that his wholesome art style appeals to, would unanimously object to. And “Moral”? Try bigoted. Narrow minded. THat’s the language people who oppose the republican base would use.

Also I love how he thinks “small government” is the universal value every single American supports, because apparently the emount of spending and debt is an intrinsict value. And he ignores that most republican presidents have been a lot bigger spenders than their Democratic counterparts, and not the least because the biggest expense under any president has been the wars the US wages all over the world.

Hahaha, fuck you Asay. Fuck you Ron Pauldroid who posted this. This whole current mess the economy is in? It’s that so called “freedom”. Freedom of enterprise; the freedom to cut your employees pay to poverty level. Freedom to charge whatever the hell you want from your customers. Freedom to pollute. Those freedoms Created a huge class of working poor in the US and Europe, they raised the cost of living, created the housing bubble that started the collapse of dominoes that is the current economical crisis. Hastened global warming and poisoned the air and water.

It is a simple economic fact, that the more economic freeodm” you provide, the deeper the gap between the rich and the poor grows. The rich get richer, the poor stay poor, but have to pay more for everything.

Also, the utter fucking irony of a Ron Paul fanatic, calling themselves “end prohibition” posting a Cartoon by Asay, one of the notoriously socially conservative cartoonists is just staggering.

This is why I want the fuck out of running this blog anyway. The shit you people post in the Political Cartoon tag. Bad scans, edited text, no credits or attribution. Years old bullshit the point of you lot miss, half the time. The fucking liberarian kids who don’t fucking understand politics at all. The conservative assholes who unironically enjoy some of the worst hack work out there.

And Michael Ramirez, Bob Gorrell and Ken Catalino still get paid for their shit, and the two Pulitzer prizes Fucking Ramirez has won haven’t yet spontanously combusted despite my best consentrated efforst of trying to get the universe to understand the irony and injustice in that.

So, after some deliberation, I decided to stop running this blog.

I’ve said my bit. most of my best work is in the early days of the blog when I could still muster up fucks to give, still found it in me to be really offended by comics, and didn’t just fall to sacatic “yeah, because you know…” humor and swearing. I haven’t had the time to really go through the Cagle site recently, and nor the Political Cartoon tag on Tumblr. I’d say I’d pass the torch on, but the relay has already passed me. A Good Cartoon and SECOTM are better, more active and more consistent blogs these days anyway. This was a fun thing to do for a while, but it was a chore for a while, and an ignored side project for the last month.

I might still update once in a blue moon if I suddenly get inspired to do so, but mostly, I’m just gonna call it quits and consentrate on my personal blog and few fan blogs.

The New Black Panther Party brouhaha said more about conservative paranoia than anything real, and the Ohio early voting issue is not about military personnel voting in person. This whole cartoon is just a mess of lies and boogeymen.

The best part of the NBPP controvercy was, that the two guys were friends, and one of them was volunteering at the polling station, and the other one showed up to hang around. People got paranoid of two black guys in berets and sunglasses and called the media, and one of them got pissed off at the camera showed in his face, so he flipped it off. See, obvious voter intimidation!

And never mind it was at one polling station, and presumbaly in a mostly pro-Obama one at that.
