The birth certificate, AND the college transcripts have been released.
And Fast and Furious, at worst, reveals misconduct in ATF, which is an independent government agency that has it’s own chain of command (and you know, the story has been overhyped beyond belief, as it’s just the accusations of one pro-gun agent who himself was already a suspect of misconduct). Romney’s taxes can possibly reveal that he commited felony fraud by lying about when he stepped down at Bain Capital.
And yeah, people are still pulling that Birther nonsense.
I like how the uusual gang of idiots are calling it unconstitutional when they have a document available explainning why it IS constitutional.
It’s because it’s a tax, by the way. I’m not going to act like I’m a constitutional scholar, partly because I’m not American, partly because the system is kinda hindered by the regressive clinging to old framework. But within the framework of the US constitution, ACA is legal.
This is it. This is the laziest editorial cartoon in the history of editorial cartoons.
Dear God that is lazy.
Because I’m feeling like it, I’m gonna go ahead and tag this as racist.
Now Bob, I gues someone told you that strawman arguments are bad, and that is all and well. But there’s such a thing as too reasonable. You see, the set-up of the first three panels kinda makes your point moot. A lot of undocumented immmigrants are studious, hard-working, law-abiding annd even patriotic. Yeah, they deserve a fair chance. And Obama was right in passing protective measures. You forgot to put in the part that explains why you think this is a bad idea.
The guy has a lower rating in the state than Voldemort. Yeah, I think they might want to. And oh, it’s the unions that have unreasonable demands, not the governor who wants to screw over the vorking class.
Actually, the economy is at a bit of a plateau at the moment. And there’s a lot more to “the economy” than the policies of the POTUS. The financial institutions all over are shaking due to a historically dramatic crash in 2008. The whole crisis is the chickens coming to roost from 30 years of market neo-liberalism*, as we finally begin to understand that the consept of “unlimited growth” is at its very core unstainable and impossible.
But you know, drawing Uncle Sam as hysteric, unaware of the reality of the situation, and with unrealistically high expectations from the office of President of their own country, is accidentally A Good Cartoon.
*which has nothing to do with the American label of “liberal”, Liiberal here means liberarian economic policy, though admittedly neither of the two parties did much to regulate it, GOOP just did even less.
Jobs are recovering, East European missile defense is just pointless threatening of Russia and Iran, if any other country stationed missiles in Mexico, or say, Cuba, America would be flipping out. The Pipeline was a terrible idea. NASA needs a new way to get to space as space shuttles are becoming obsolete, and NASA hasn’t even bene to moon since 1972, so how’s Obama different from… five last presidents? Traditional Marriage? Lol. America never deserved its prestige, and lost it for reasons of larger global economics, anyway. I’m pretty sure BP killede off-shore drilling. Religious libert? Lol. Business is recovering. Bipartisanship? I’ll invite you to look at the records. It’s GOP that consistently refuses to give a single vote to any Democrat proposal, while Dems are far more prone to compromise.
TL;DR, Gorrell is full of shit.
Which would be preferable to staring directly at the economy and being blinded, I guess?
Obviously Gorrell doesn’t cut corners with his art so he can devote his energy to his metaphors.
I laughed out loud a bit. Yeah, great metaphor, Bob.
Oh, right. A president should only focus their energies to one thing, and one thing alone, at a time.
I mean, it’s not like there hasn’t been a historic amount of anti-choice legislation over the past few years, some going to invasive lengths. Nope, must be imagined, hence the scare quotes around “war on women”. Unless Gorrell wants to be more inclusive and thinks it should be “War on Reproductive Choice” then, yes, the quotes are deserved. But I doubt that’s what he was going for.
You know, as for the economy, it’s recovering. Meanwhile, in countries that did instate massive cuts (mostly, UK), the recession has started over. Conservatives need to stop acting like they have a monopoly in economic knowledge.
And in other news, Gorrell still can’t draw for shit.
Or you know, Austerity doesn’t work. Don’t let that get in the way of your anti-French caricature.
